Maple Hill Trail

Maple Hill Auto Group is proud to be the title sponsor of the Maple Hill Trail. Located in Markin Glen Park, this mountain bike trail is the first of its kind in the city of Kalamazoo and surrounding areas in South West Michigan. A dozen years and $140,000 later, the Maple Hill Trail opened to the public yesterday evening, August 17th, 2017.

It was a great event filled with community members, friends, family, biking, and of course, Subarus. THe rail is meant to be used by experts and beginners alike from Kalamazoo, Paw Paw, Viskburg, Portage, and the surrounding areas. The five mile trail inclueds banked turns, berms, and tabletop for advanced riders with byasses for beginners or recreational riders.

At the ribbon cuting ceremony, Owner/General Manager, Jim VandenBerg stood with Kalamazoo County Parks and Recreation and SWMMBA (South West Michigan Mountain Biking Association) and dedicated the trail to members of the Kalamazoo community who make this city great. He said, "This is why Kalamazoo is special-- you can get non-profits, businesses, and government working together to do a great trail like this to support our lifestyle here in Kalamazoo."

All of this was an opportunity to share the love the Kalamazoo has given to Maple Hill in the past years and to show we really do love where we live.

A special thanks to all of the sponsors of the trail who joined us last night-- Kalamazoo Parks and Recreation, SWMMBA, Pedal Bicycles, Greenware, Division 5 Metalworks, Miller Energy Company and many more, and a big thank you to the community members who have supported this project past, present, and future.
