Local Kalamazoo Restaurants You Must Try!

It is times like these that make us remember how important it is for us to band together as a community. That is why we have been supporting local restaurants for the past few weeks by buying lunch for all our essential workers. On average we have been spending $700 with each local restaurant and we’ve been finding some new favorite dishes along the way. Our long term favorites are Hunan Gardens, Kazoopy’s, and Roma’s but we’ve found some great new restaurants too. Rasa Ria is an authentic Malaysian restaurant located on W Main street. The owners are from Sabah, Malaysia and are great friends of the Kalamazoo community. Another favorite of ours is Papa’s Italian Sausage which has been in Kalamazoo since 1984. Owned by the Rizzuto family, they have been making homemade sausage for over a century beginning in Italy and then moving to Michigan, but the authenticity still remains. Artisan Sandwich shop is located in the S. Kalamazoo Mall and is locally owned. The owner Ryan’s dream is to help the Kalamazoo community stay healthy through delicious food!

Please remember your local restaurants when lunch and dinner come around. They’re all great additions to our Kalamazoo community. They employ our friends, families, and neighbors and they need our help to make it through these trying times.

Stay well and support local,

Your Maple Hill Family
